SQR1 GOLF
About

Built in the UK for club golfers who want their handicap down

Most golf apps give you numbers. SQR1 Golf tells you what they mean for a player at your level: every stat is compared with what golfers at your target handicap actually do, then linked to drills to fix the gaps — on your own or with your coach.

I own an expensive golf watch. It records plenty of numbers, but it never told me how I was actually playing for someone at my level, or what to work on next. So I built SQR1: an inexpensive alternative to costly golf hardware that compares your game with golfers at the handicap you're aiming for, to make improving accessible to everyone.

Who runs SQR1 Golf

How the benchmarks are built

From published data on how golfers at each handicap actually play — Shot Scope’s GPS-tracked rounds, PGA Tour ShotLink and TrackMan. Where a handicap level isn’t covered, the figure is estimated from the trend and marked as an estimate.

What SQR1 is not

There are no sensors and no automatic shot tracking: you enter each hole yourself, on your phone or the printable A6 scorecard. There are no live GPS yardages on the course; you plan your shots before the round on satellite maps of 2,000+ UK courses.
